New Member Education Requirements

As of July 1st, 2012, new members must have written proof that they've attended one of the following shooting classes prior to joining Marion County Fish and Game.  Additional classes may be added in the future, but will need to be proposed at a Board Meeting for approval PRIOR to a prospective member joining (i.e. if you just show up and propose a class so you can join that night, you'll be turned away.).

If you have any questions or comments about the New Member Education Requirement, please attend a Board Meeting to discuss.

MCFG Approved New Member Education Shooting Classes:
ACT Basic Pistol (101) or higher
Appleseed Shoot
DNR Hunter's Safety
Frontsite Class
Gunsite Class

MDFI Class
NRA Basic Pistol
NRA Basic Rifle

Additional classes may be added to the list, but must be approved PRIOR to applying for a membership.  If you show up at a Board Meeting without an approved class, you will be turned away until you've met your New Membership Education Requirement.  All new members must attend one of the classes listed above and be able to provide written proof.  No exemptions will be given for any reason (military, police, etc.).
