I forgot to renew! What do I do?

We got our first question like this today:

Question:  I forgot to renew during the 3 month grace period; is there any way that I can avoid paying the $50 New Member Application Fee in addition to my Membership Dues?

Answer:  No.  If your dues lapsed, you need to join as a new member.  This means you must pay the New Member Application Fee and Membership Dues ($50 + $110 = $160 total) and you must attend a Safety Orientation just like any new member would.

Sincerely,

Chuck

New Member Application Fees, Safety Officer Program

Marion County Fish and Game would like to announce the following changes as of 5/1:

 1)  Volunteer Safety Officer Program:  We have approximately 20 volunteers that will be our new Safety Officers at the range.  They will be volunteering their time to help monitor our range, and to help new shooters when possible.

 2)  New Member Application Fee Increase:  In an effort to help offset the cost of shirts, hats, classes, etc. for our Safety Officers, we will be increasing the New Membership Application Fee to $50.  For those that aren't familiar, our old fee structure for new members was $110 for Membership Dues and $25 for New Member Application Fee, for a total of $135.  The new total ($110 + $50 = $160) will help us fund the continued improvement in safety that we strive for at MCF&G.  We look forward to seeing our volunteers dressed in brightly colored Safety Officer gear on the range in the near future!

If you have any questions about either of these two items, please attend a Board meeting (see the schedule for details), as that's where we handle this type of business.

Thanks!

Chuck

Updated Rules for Member Review!

We recently revamped the rule book in an effort to make it easier to read; our goal is to have Members review the rules for a month or two and then approve them some time in June or July.  Please review the rules (see link HERE).  If you have suggestions or questions, please attend a Board meeting, as that's where we handle this type of business.

Thanks!

Chuck

Volunteer Day on Saturday 4/7; Great Time to Join!

We will be having our annual Volunteer Day this Saturday, April 7th.  For those wishing to join, it is a good time to stop by.  Here are the details:

1)  Safety Orientation offered 4 times on Saturday; see the schedule for details.

2)  We'll have plenty of projects to do; if you can spare an hour or two to help clean up the range, that'd be great!
