Dan grew up on a farm in central IN and became interested in shooting even before starting pre-school. Dan completed Indiana DNR Hunter Safety in the first years of that program. Several years later, he received firearms training at U.S. Army Military Police School. Dan became an NRA Pistol and Personal Protection Instructor in 2005 and later that year, became the first UT Concealed Firearm Permit Instructor in Indiana, certified by the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. Dan first came to MCF&G in 2006 to shoot trap a couple of times, then Bowling Pins, followed by Friday Night Steel when that was created. Dan was at virtually every Pin or Steel shoot, until the police academy took up that time. Throughout his life, Dan has contacted his legislators at every level, to push for greater freedom for gun owners, as well as becoming a life member of Gun Owners of America and the NRA, as well as a member of the Second Amendment Foundation, United States Concealed Carry Association, Jew for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership and the Indiana State Rifle & Pistol Association.
Dan's vision for MCF&G is to increase membership and shooting opportunities for this and following generations and expand programs and profitability and help MCF&G become the premier shooting facility in Central Indiana.
